Singer-turned-politician Hon. Geoffrey Lutaaya has added a new academic milestone to his already diverse career after successfully graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and Management from the Islamic University of Uganda (IUIU).

The Kakuuto County Member of Parliament for Kyotera District was among the graduates at the university’s 34th graduation ceremony, a moment that marked the culmination of years of discipline, sacrifice, and determination alongside his demanding roles in music and politics.

Celebrating the achievement, Lutaaya’s wife and fellow singer, Irene Namatovu, shared an emotional message praising her husband’s resilience and commitment.

She highlighted the late nights, personal sacrifices, and unwavering focus that defined his academic journey.

“I saw the sacrifices, the late nights, and the moments you kept going even when it was hard. Today, your victory feels like ours. I’m endlessly proud of you, my husband. This graduation is just the beginning of all God has in store for you.”

The graduation ceremony also saw other notable figures celebrate academic success.

Singer Hajji Haruna Mubiru proudly attended as his daughter, Remmie Mubiru, graduated from the same institution, sharing a joyful family moment that resonated with many attendees.

Additionally, Fred Sserugga, husband to singer Catherine Kusasira, was among the graduates, earning a degree in Law from IUIU, further highlighting the strong presence of public figures committed to education and personal growth.

Congratulations to everyone on the milestone accomplished!
